Install and initial setup

Goal

Install the App, open a local folder, and verify that documents and Chat work.

1. Install the App

Go to Download Duobox, get the version for your system, install it, and launch the App.

2. Configure an account and model

Local document editing works directly. For Chat, Cloud Page, or team collaboration:

1. Open Settings → Account and sign in.
2. Confirm that the text model list loads.
3. Select a default text model.

3. Create your first Space

1. Choose a local folder from the welcome page.
2. Create or select a project directory.
3. Create an “Overview” document in the document tree.
4. Enter some text and save it.

Documents in a Space are ordinary local files. See The App and local Spaces for the directory model.

Completion check

• The current Space and “Overview” appear in the sidebar.
• Restarting the App restores the Space.
• Chat shows an available model.

Common issues

• Only the welcome page appears: select a local folder.
• Chat has no model: check the login session and default text model.
• A folder will not open: confirm that it exists and is writable by the current user.
